Welcome to TaleStation, we hope you enjoy your stay.

TaleStation was my Space Station 13 (SS13) server that I ran from 2021, then known as JollyStation, until early 2025. SS13 was where I met a lot of folks and made a lot of connections. I created JollyStation because I wanted to explicitly roleplay with my friends. Now why did I call it JollyStation? For as creative as I can be, I'm very bad with names, this is evident with some of the names within Creators of Creation. I eventually settled on rebranding to escape from the assumption that I explicitly named the server after myself. TaleStation came to be as a name choice because I wanted to make this server centered around making stories and such. I was pretty much judge, jury and executioner, except when it came to hosting. We did build up a small team, a team that was happy, but we never really got that far unfortunately. But thats okay, we made strong connections and I'm thankful for everyones contribution, be it through GitHub or participating in rounds. SS13 helped fill a void in my life that was devoid of a hyper fixation. Now that spot is taken up with other things.

January, 2021
TaleStation began as JollyStation, a small self-hosted server. Jolly invited a handful of friends who played on /tg/ stations Manuel server . From there, the server gradually grew.
December, 2021
JollyStation would become entangled in a poorly handled administration situation. Jolly stepped down and stopped hosting JollyStation, gave hosting rights over, the Discord server as well as the codebase. From there, JollyStation quickly restructured into MapleStation.

NOTE: There has never been any association with MapleStation.

Janauary, 2022
JollyStation would return, but not in the same light as once before. This time, the codebase was set up to be a proper "downstream" (a "downstream" in this context is a child of another codebase, in this instance, JollyStation was a "child" of /tg/ station). A PR Mirror bot (a GitHub bot that automatically mirrored Pull Requests (PRs) when they were merged upstream, on /tg/ station). Patchy would eventually help host the first instance of JollyStation.
August, 2022
JollyStation was officially rebranded to TaleStation.
2023
Hosting was transfered to Zephyr from Patchy. Zephyr would become the defacto host of TaleStation under Shiptest.
July, 2025
TaleStation would officially close.
2026
All TaleStation associated Discords were deleted.

Thank you to those who helped, I couldn't have made TaleStation without you.
